Talko · AI learning
Meet Talko. A learning companion - not a search engine.
Curriculum-linked, age-appropriate AI support that helps students keep learning after school ends - safely, and with full visibility for their teachers.
The problem it solves
Curiosity doesn’t stop at half past three.
A student understands most of tonight’s homework, but gets stuck on one idea. Without help, that moment turns into frustration, or it simply gets lost until tomorrow’s lesson - by which time the class has moved on.
Talko gives students a third option between guessing and waiting: ask, understand, and keep going. And because it is part of the school platform rather than a separate app, what happened at 8:30 PM is on the teacher’s screen at 8:00 AM.
How students use Talko
A lesson you work through, not a box you type into.
Each lesson runs as a guided sequence - learning goal, get ready, explore, learn with Talko, check understanding, lab activity, apply the skill, and a final check - with voice narration throughout.
Read
Talko reads alongside the student and listens back. Speech recognition follows a child reading aloud, so reading practice happens even when no adult is free to listen.
Write
A writing coach that guides structure and clarity, and grammar capsules that explain the rule rather than correcting the sentence for them.
Speak
Spoken conversation practice with narration in English or Urdu, in a low-pressure format where getting it wrong costs nothing.
Practise
Eight kinds of interactive activity - matching, sorting, fill in the blank, memory, labelling, sequencing, click and identify, and true or false - tied to the lesson in front of them.
Build
A working spreadsheet simulator with nine formulas, and a Scratch coding lab, so computer lessons are done rather than read about.
Revise
Homework and revision support that explains an idea a different way until it lands, then asks a follow-up question to check it did.
Watch and listen
Video and listening steps inside the lesson, with narration a child can replay as often as they need - which is the part a classroom cannot offer thirty times over.
Switch language
English-only, Urdu-script-only and bilingual tutoring modes, with lesson steps labelled in both - so a child is never blocked by the language of the interface.
Keep going
A daily activity streak with a personal best, and eight earnable badges from a first completed lesson to a thirty-day streak. Every point behind them is awarded by the server, never by the app.
What teachers see
AI that reports back to the classroom.
The common and reasonable fear about AI in schools is the black box: a child learning somewhere the teacher cannot see. Talko is built the other way round. Independent learning becomes something the school can actually observe and act on.
Assign a lesson, not a link
Teachers assign specific Talko lessons to a class or section from inside Cyber Campus, with a due date, instructions and the learning outcome it serves.
See who actually did it
The child sees their assignments on their home screen; the teacher sees who opened each one and who completed it.
Fifteen kinds of evidence
Quiz answers, reading attempts, writing submissions, grammar checks, lab steps, tutor turns and hint requests are all captured as learning evidence.
A mastery picture, not a score
Evidence is rolled up every few minutes into per-skill mastery, calculated from the most recent five attempts - so a report shows regression as clearly as improvement.
At-risk and misconception views
Teachers see which children are struggling and which misconceptions are shared across the class, so tomorrow’s lesson can start in the right place.
The last seven days, live
Mastery sits beside a live count of the steps a child took in the past week, so a teacher can tell a strong week from a strong average - and export the whole table as CSV.
Plain-English updates for parents
Parents get a short progress summary across reading fluency, grammar, comprehension, writing quality and pronunciation - in their own portal.
Safety & guardrails
Built for education. Nothing else.
Talko is a closed, curriculum-linked system. Below is what that means in practice - stated as mechanisms rather than intentions, because a safety claim you cannot check is not a safety claim.
Scoped to the lesson in front of it
Talko will only discuss the lesson the student has open. It is not a general chatbot with a school logo on it, and there is no open-web browsing.
No public sign-up
There is no way for a member of the public to create an account. Access is limited to students who already hold a school-issued Cyber Campus login.
The school can always see it
Nothing a student asks Talko is invisible to the school. Conversations and activity are recorded as learning evidence for the class teacher.
Students cannot award themselves marks
Points and quiz scores are calculated on the server against the stored answer key. The app on the child’s device has no ability to inflate a score.
No AI keys in the browser
Every AI request is proxied through the school’s server. The AI provider key never ships to a student’s device, and usage is metered with per-student daily limits.
Retention and erasure are commands, not promises
The platform ships tested commands to purge child learning events on a retention schedule and to erase an individual student’s record on request.
On training and student data. Student work is used to produce the school’s own learning reports. It is not used to train external, general-purpose AI models. Talk to us about your jurisdiction’s requirements before rollout - we will put the specifics in writing.
Read the full security & trust pageWhere Talko is today
Talko is live for Class 5, across five subjects - My Book of Computer, Lumina English, Ilm-o-Adab (Urdu), Science and Social Studies - plus a Scratch coding lab and a spreadsheet lab. More classes and subjects are in development.
We would rather tell you the scope now than at implementation. Ask for the current roadmap on your demo call.
Questions schools ask
Before you bring AI into a classroom.
Which classes and subjects does Talko cover today?
Talko is live for Class 5 across five subjects - My Book of Computer, Lumina English, Ilm-o-Adab (Urdu), Science and Social Studies - plus a Scratch coding lab and a spreadsheet lab. Further classes and subjects are being added; ask us for the current roadmap on your demo call.
Does Talko replace the teacher?
No. Talko extends the teacher’s reach beyond the classroom. It works from lessons the teacher assigns, and everything a student does with it is reported back to the teacher as learning evidence.
Can students use Talko to cheat on homework?
Talko is built to guide rather than answer. The writing coach shapes structure without writing the piece, quiz scoring happens on the server against the answer key, and the teacher can see every attempt a student made.
Is Talko safe for children?
Talko is scoped to the lesson in front of the student, has no open-web chat and no public sign-up, and all activity is visible to the school. Retention and erasure commands for child data ship with the platform.
What languages does Talko work in?
Talko supports English-only, Urdu-script-only and bilingual tutoring modes, and lesson steps are labelled in both English and Urdu.
Does Talko need a separate login?
No. Students sign in with the school account they already have in Cyber Campus. There is no second user list to maintain.
